The Alternative Provision Network is a place for schools/colleges/PRUs, local/regional/national government and alternative education providers to come together to share ideas, find advice and access resources.

Being a member of the network brings a number of benefits …

About

The Alternative Provision Network was established in May 2023.

Membership of the network is by annual subscription and there are currently three different membership categories:

  • Alternative Provider (AP supplier)
  • School (Mainstream/Academy/Trust)
  • Local, Regional or National Government

Once you have joined the network, you have access to a range of services including:

  • Members only forum to ask questions and share ideas.
  • Search, find and communicate with other members and view their profile
  • Stay up-to-date with news, government briefings and member’s activity
  • Book onto network or member’s events, and even publicise / manage bookings for your own events.

To join the network, use the ‘Membership’ link at the top of this page, where you can select your category and pay using a credit/debit card or paypal account.  If you would prefer to receive an invoice either use the ‘Contact us’ section at the bottom of this page, or use the ‘Chat With Us’ feature (bottom right of this site).

Members of the network can access the following:

Specialist staff recruitment services

  • Our in-house recruitment company have thousands of CVs for specialist tutors (functional skills, vocational, GCSE, etc), admin, management and leadership, casual, temporary and permanent staff looking for work in schools, colleges, alternative providers, PRUs and special schools.
  • Members enjoy huge discounts on recruitment costs, temp to perm fees and casual/temporary staff costs.

Payroll services

  • Our in-house payroll service can process PAYE for casual, temp and permanent staff on a weekly or monthly basis (including pension, HMRC, holiday, SSP/SMP etc)
  • As with recruitment, members receive preferential rates, at a fraction of the cots of other payroll services.

Other benefits…

  • A full selection of policy templates for you to download and modify to meet your own needs (eg, Safeguarding, Information Technology, Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity, Student behaviour, exam policies, etc)
  • ‘Find a consultant’ – to help with preparing for Ofsted, registering to become an Independent School, developing a quality assurance framework your county/district
  • Annual conference to meet colleagues from across our sector.
